Marlene Ranee Neumann, age 69, of Lake Crystal, died Saturday, May 7, 2005 at Immanuel " St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Crystal with Rev. Randal Lubbers officiating. Interment in Lake Crystal Cemetery. Visitation from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Lake Crystal Mortuary and continues one hour before services at church on Wednesday. Memorials may be given to an organization of the donors choice.
Marlene was born July 12, 1935 in Lake Crystal to Arthur and Agnes Dolly (Stenerson) Lewis. She was united in marriage to Irvin Neumann on December 10, 1955 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa. She was employed with VanDenBergh Foods in Madelia for 20 years and part-time with the Lake Crystal Welcome Memorial School District lunch program. Marlene was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church where she served as deacon and Sunday school teacher. She did volunteer knitting for the hospital and Salvation Army and was also a bell ringer for the Salvation Army kettle drive. She enjoyed knitting, reading, shopping, and spending time with her family.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Irvin of Lake Crystal; five children, Ralph (Mary Beth Luca) Neumann of Dublin, OH, Doreen Neumann of Junction City, KS, Dale (Dawn) Neumann, John Neumann, Mary Neumann all of Lake Crystal; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Gordon Lewis of North Mankato, Danny (Maggie) Lewis, Darrell (LaVola) Lewis, Jim (Sharon) Lewis; sister-in-law, Donna Lewis all of Lake Crystal; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carla; two brothers, Dale and Dean.
