Dr. Richard A. Hall, age 77, of North Mankato, MN, died Sunday, May 1, 2005 at the Robbinsdale Rehab and Care Center. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in St. Paul, MN. Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at Mankato Mortuary.
Richard was born on December 31, 1927 in St. Paul. He was the son of Thomas and Jane (Alfveby) Hall. Richard was a 1945 graduate of Wilson High School in St. Paul. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1947 in Japan, and was awarded the WWII Victory Medal. Richard was united in marriage to Carol J. Knutson in 1951 in Minneapolis. They later divorced in 1977. Richard was a 1955 graduate of the University of Minnesota Dental School. He was united in marriage to Carol A.(Orchard) Klopp on August 25, 1984 in Red Wing. Richard retired in 2002 following 47 years of dental practice in St. Clair and Mankato. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Mankato, where he served as an usher and deacon. Richard was a charter member of the Civil Air Patrol, where he attained the rank of Major. He was also a former member of the American Dental Association, Mankato Flying Club and the Mankato Kiwanis.
Richard is survived by his wife, Carol A. Hall of North Mankato; four children, Shelley (Tom) Fix of Champlin, Lynn Wilkman-Hall of Cleveland, Richard (Amy) Hall of Twentynine Palms, CA, Brent (Tami) Hall of Reynolds, IA; three step-children, Amy (Richard) Hall of Twentynine Palms, CA, Jessica (Kenneth) Wolf of Argentina, Nathan (Ginie) Klopp of Apple Valley; seventeen grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Hall of Albuquerque, NM.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
