V. Florence Ginn, age 94 of Mankato, died Monday, April 4, 2005 at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday at St. John the Baptist Church in Mankato with Rev. Richard Colletti officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be from 4"7 p.m. Thursday at Mankato Mortuary with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service. Visitation continues one hour before services at the church on Friday.
Victoria Florence Ginn was born October 10, 1910 to Henry and Dora (Echle) Turnhoffer in Winnebago, MN. She graduated from Winnebago High School in 1928. She was united in marriage to Robert Ginn on June 1, 1933 in Blue Earth. They farmed in the Guckeen and Blue Earth area until 1958. Florence was a waitress at Eibners Restaurant in New Ulm for 20 years.
Florence was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church. She enjoyed flowers, dancing, crafting, and playing cards.
Survivors include her husband, Robert of North Mankato; three daughters, Ann (Gordon) Westermann of Mankato, Kathleen Tacheny of Elk Grove, CA, Mary (Larry) Beach of Sleepy Eye; one son, Richard (Janice) Ginn of New Ulm; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Genevieve Bleess, Dorothy Back, and Louise Linder.
