Keith A Gilberts

Keith A. Gilberts, age 56, of rural Mankato died Monday, February 28, 2005 at the Minnesota Veterans Home, Minneapolis, where he had lived for the past 3 years.

Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mankato, with Rev. Paul Nolting officiating. Interment with military honors in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Visitation on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before services at church on Saturday. If so desired, memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the V.F. W. Post #950.

Keith was born May 7, 1948 in Mankato to Harold and Ruth (Schauer) Gilberts. He graduated from Immanuel Lutheran High School in Mankato. He joined the U. S. Army after high school and served in the Vietnam War. He was united in marriage to Kristy L. Frisby in May of 1994 in Mankato. He had worked for Ben Deike Moving and Storage and Peipho Moving and Storage before retiring because of health reasons. He enjoyed hunting and gardening. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the V.F.W. Post #950.

Keith is survived by his wife, Kristy Gilberts of Mankato; a daughter and her husband, Rachel and Tim Anderson of Shakopee; two step-sons and their wives Andrew and Kiera Sosinski of Rosemount, Nathan and Amy Sosinski of Burnsville; a step-daughter, Natally Rodriguez of Pemberton; three step-grandchildren; two sisters, Stephanie Gilberts of Mankato, Mary Lou Wornson of Chandler, AZ; nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Kathleen; aunts and uncles.
