Lillian W. Ulrich, age 90, of rural Good Thunder, died Thursday, February 24, 2005 at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2005 at St. John Lutheran Church, Good Thunder with Rev. Rudolph H. Maurer Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Mankato Mortuary and continues one hour before services at church on Monday.
Lillian was born November 14, 1914 to William and Marie (Een) Hasher in Medo Township, Blue Earth Co. She was baptized January 4, 1915 and confirmed June 30, 1929 at Medo Lutheran Church, Waldorf, MN. She graduated from Waldorf High School in 1932. She attended Mankato Beauty School in 1933 and was employed in Blue Earth and Waseca. She was also a teacher at the Mankato Beauty School. She married LaVerne Ulrich on February 25, 1943 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mankato. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aide. She was also an honorary member of the Maple River Study Club. Lillian enjoyed crocheting and gardening.
Lillian is survived by one son, Dean (Kay) Ulrich of rural Good Thunder; one daughter, Renee (Blaine) Phillips of rural Janesville; seven grandchildren, Kelly (Craig) Hoeft, Sherri Burnham, Nathan (Mary) Ulrich, Garrett Ulrich, Bradley Phillips, Troy Phillips and special friend, Brook, Joleen Phillips and special friend, Jamie; ten great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Ernie Freundenthal of California; nephews and a niece.
Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, LaVerne in 1981; granddaughter, Heather; and her sister, Alverna Freundenthal.
