Jannette L. Kozitza, age 55, of North Mankato, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at Hillcrest Health Care Center after a five year battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2005 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato with Rev. Peter Nosbush officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. with a 4 p.m. prayer service on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Mankato Mortuary.
Jan was born in Lima, Ohio on May 10, 1949 to Carl and Evelyn Klaus. Her family moved to Santa Ana, California when she was 12 years old. She graduated from Santa Ana High School in 1967. She married Anthony Tony R. Kozitza on January 25, 1969 at Saint Annes Catholic Church in Santa Ana, California. They moved to North Mankato in 1971. The majority of her career she served as a Human Services Technician at the St. Peter Regional Treatment Center. She loved her family and four grandchildren very much. Her interests included reading, visiting with relatives, and playing games with her family.
Jannette is survived by husband, Tony Kozitza of North Mankato; daughter, Rachael Jaster of Cleveland; two sons, Ryan and Justin Kozitza of North Mankato; four grandchildren, Eric, Morgan, Kelly Jaster, and Madisyn Kozitza; brother, Terry Klaus of Boise, Idaho; father-in-law, Richard Kozitza Sr. and his wife, Irma; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, a sister, and a sister-in-law.
