Marjorie "Marge" Guentzel, age 79 of Mankato, died on Sunday, September 23, 2012 surrounded by her family.

Memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 27 at Hilltop United Methodist Church in Mankato. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 pm Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be directed in Marge's memory to the church or the Make a Wish Foundation.

Marge was born to Raymond and Josephine (Schwab) Rausch on January 10, 1933 in Mankato. She and her husband Norman farmed and raised their four children in Lime Township. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, bowling and baking, but she especially enjoyed being surrounded by her grandchildren.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Norman Guentzel and her parents.

She is survived by her children: Cheryl (Ken Gansen) of St. Peter, Daryl (Cindy) of Eagle Lake, Gail (Greg) Depuydt of North Mankato and Terry (Mary) of Kasota. 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers: Ron of Pemberton, Gerald (Donna) of Mankato; sisters: Marcy (Jerry) Dotson of Seattle, WA and Marilyn (Del) Anderson of Crosby, MN; and her special friend of 10 years, Jim Johnson of Mankato.
