Jessica (Dobbelmann) Hudson, age 39, of Mankato, is at peace on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at her home.
A private memorial service in celebration of Jessica's life will be held. Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Jessica was born on November 29, 1972 in Minneapolis, MN to Mark and Cathy (Gross) Dobbelmann. She grew up in Eagan, MN when it was beautiful farm country. Jessica and her dad spent Sundays discovering the beauty of the woods, hills, farmlands, and parks. Jessica and her mom loved to talk for hours about Jessica's day at school. While at Eagan High School, Jessica became a major player in Theatre and Choir. In 1991, she was the lead in the "One Act Play" that achieved the state award for EHS. Her love for theatre took her to MSU - Mankato, where she participated in numerous performances and graduated with a triple major in 1996. Jessica married Jordan and they both enjoyed the antique business along with his parents and family, until Jordan passed away in 2009. In 2003, they were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Ruth; who will always be the joy and light of their lives. Jessica fell in love with and married Jarret Hudson. They married in March of 2012. They enjoyed their new lives together and the love of their daughter, Ruth. Their greatest joy as a family was their visits to Valley Fair. Jessica enjoyed her 15 year career at Denco Lighting with her co-worker friends and her customers.
Jessica is survived by her loving daughter, Ruth; her dear husband, Jarret; parents, Mark and Cathy Dobbelmann; sister, Laura Bestler; Grandma Madeleine Dobbelmann; Grandpa Herman Gross; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Helen and Gary Hudson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Jessica was preceded in death by her first husband, Jordan Kagermeier; grandparents, Joe Dobbelmann and Judy Gross; uncles, Kevin Dobbelmann and Carl Gross.
Jessica's family wishes to thank all her dear friends, counselors, social workers, and care givers that provided care, love, and support through the years to her.
