Margaret Markie Joan Everhart, of Scottsville, Kentucky, formerly of Mankato, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, February 6, 2005 at her home.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 11, 2005 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mankato, with Rev. Nathanael N. Mayhew officiating. Interment in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Mankato Mortuary.
Margaret was born on June 3, 1947 to Pastor G.W. and Margaret (Schmeling) Fischer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They later moved to Mankato where Margaret graduated from Immanuel Lutheran School. She went on to nursing school and obtained her LPN license. She worked at various places throughout her life in the medical field. Margaret married Roger Heinze in 1966, and together they had three children during this marriage. She later married Wayne Everhart in 1986 and together they had one child.
Margaret is survived by her husband Wayne of Scottsville, KY, two sons, Neil (Christine) Heinze of St. Cloud, WI, Stuart Everhart, Eau Claire, WI; two daughters, Kimberly (Nathan) Herme of North Mankato, Jolene Heinze of Atlanta, GA; 7 grandchildren, Steven, Dylan, Holden, Amanda, Rylee, Joshua, Benjamin, two step-grandchildren, Cameron and Kassandra; brother, Rev. William (Gladdie) Fischer of Manitowoc, WI; three sisters, Doris Theimer of Oklahoma City, OK, Mary Harper (Robert Berens) of Willmette, IL, and Barbara Higgs of Greer, SC, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant brother.
