Mildred E Williams

Mildred E. Williams, age 85 of Lake Crystal died Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at the Lake Crystal Health Care Center in Lake Crystal.

Funeral service 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, Lake Crystal with Rev. Randal Lubbers officiating. Interment in Lake Crystal Cemetery. Visitation on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Lake Crystal Mortuary, Lake Crystal and one hour before services at church on Saturday.

Mildred was born May 19, 1919 in Lincoln Township, Blue Earth Co. to Ray and Hazel (Williams) Peterson. She was united in marriage to Gordon Williams on March 26, 1949 in Lincoln Township. Mildred graduated from Mankato Beauty School and worked for a short time for Elsies Beauty Shop in Lake Crystal. She did day care in her home a many years. She was member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lake Crystal, P.W.C. and had taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed visiting with neighbors, gardening and cooking.

She is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Janet and Charles Knakmuhs of Lake Crystal; a sister, Muriel Meixell in Rogers, AR; twin brothers, Sterling Peterson of Mound, Stanley (Marjorie) Peterson of Crystal; sister-in-law, Elsie Williams of Lake Crystal; nephews, nieces and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband in Dec. of 1982 and a infant daughter in 1950.
