Alice L. Kendall, age 87, of Madelia formerly of rural Vernon Center died Thursday, January 20, 2005 at the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia.
Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Monday at Garden City Baptist Church, Garden City with Rev. Harvey Hallada, officiating. Interment in Vernon Center Cemetery. Visitation on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the Lake Crystal Mortuary and one hour before services at church on Monday.
Alice was born November 4, 1917 in Vernon Center Township, Blue Earth Co., MN to Walter and Pearl (Childs) Rambo. She graduated from Garden City High School in 1936. She worked at an aircraft plant during World War II. Alice was united in marriage to Charles J. Kendall on June 13, 1948 in Vernon Center Township. She was a homemaker and member of the Garden City Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing but most of all farming with Charles.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Kendall of rural Vernon Center; a son, Wayne (Mary) Kendall of rural Garden City; three grandchildren, Clinton Petersen, Derek Petersen and Adam Petersen; a brother, Ronald (Nan) Rambo of rural Vernon Center; nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Charleen.
