Marjorie Marge Stierlen, age 86 of North Mankato, died Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 21, 2005 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato, with Rev. Peter Nosbush officiating. Interment will be in Eagle Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 " 8 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service Thursday at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation continues one hour before services at the church on Friday. Memorials may be given to the donors choice.
Marge was born on August 2, 1918 in Marysburg Township, LeSueur County, MN the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Fox) Loeffler. Marge was united in marriage to Aloys J. Stierlen on November 28, 1935 in Madison Lake, soon moving to Mankato, living the rest of her adult life in North Mankato. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker for her family, raising her children after her husband died. Marge was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and its CCW.
Marge is survived by two sons, Roger Pete (Patti) Stierlen of North Mankato, Robert Bob (Jo) Stierlen of West Mankato; one daughter, Mary Jo Jo (Tom) Neubert of North Mankato; seven grandchildren, Terri (Bob) Taylor, Traci (Rick) Sellner, Tom (Renae) Stierlen, Trisha (Matt) Sizer, Staci (Ryan) Marshall, Bryan Neubert, Jodi Neubert; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Alfred (Darlene) Loeffler of Rosemount, MN; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Stierlen of North Mankato, Elizabeth Loeffler of rural Mankato; nieces, nephews
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Aloys in 1967; four brothers, Frank, Paul, Raymond, Carl Loeffler; four sisters, Gertrude and Marcella Loeffler, Lucy Guentzel, Dorothy Buskey.
