Our Lord blessed Harold with many things in his life and gave him the chance to enjoy his family, friends, Twins baseball, old time waltzes and polkas with his wife, Evelyn and many dance going friends, playing cards, and his deep love for horses. His farming life started with a team of horses and his retirement with modern equipment doing the same job.

Hanson of North Mankato; three sons, Harold Lanz Jr. of Amboy, Harlan (Joan) Lanz of North Mankato, Steven Lanz of Madison Lake; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; former daughters-in-law and friends, Sue Lanz and Carol Lanz; his longtime friend, Norb Pomeranke of North Mankato; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
