Dorothy K. Scolman, age 88, of Mankato, died Sunday, January 9, 2005 at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Mankato Mortuary, with Rev. Eugene Glade officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the National Osteoporosis Foundation (Attn: Memorials, 1232 22nd St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20037-1292).
Dorothy was born on July 28, 1916 in Mankato. She was the daughter of Aaron and Catherine (Kalin) Johnson. Dorothy attended high school in Eau Claire, WI, where she would reside for over 35 years. Dorothy was employed with J.C. Penney Co., retiring in 1981. She moved back to Mankato, where she was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Dorothy enjoyed hiking and traveling.
Dorothy is survived by her two sons and their wives, James and Marilyn Scolman of St. George, Utah, and David and Lynn Scolman of Eugene, Oregon; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
