Wesley Fredrick Schultz, age 71, of St. Clair, died Monday, January 3, 2005 at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital, Mankato.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2005 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, rural Mankato, with Rev. David Danner officiating. Burial in Decoria Cemetery, rural Mankato. Visitation from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary and continues one hour before services at church on Thursday. Memorials are preferred to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Decoria Cemetery.
Wesley was born January 5, 1933 to Henry and Iva (Ward) Schultz in Beauford Township, Blue Earth County. He served his country during the Korean Conflict from 1953 to 1955. He was united in marriage to Marlene Ida Schull on May 13, 1957 at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Wesley was employed by the Blue Earth County Highway Department for 25 years. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and had served on the church council. Wesley was a member of the St. Clair American Legion Post #475 and a former member of the St. Clair Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening.
Wesley is survived by his wife, Marlene; three children, Alan (Peggy) Schultz of Watertown, S.D., Lori (Stephen) Bruender of Mankato, Bradley (Kay) Schultz of St. Clair; seven grandchildren; brother, Robert (Ethel) Schultz of Madelia; sister, Delores Bumgarner of Minneapolis; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
