Gladys Krueger, age 92, of Madelia and formerly of Lake Crystal, died Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at Luther Memorial Home in Madelia.
Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2004 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lake Crystal, with Rev. James Holthus, officiating. Visitation from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church on Wednesday. Burial in Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato. Lake Crystal Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Gladys was born December 2, 1912 to Grant and Mary Jane (Jones) Lewis in Lake Crystal. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School. Gladys was united in marriage to Alfred A. Krueger on December 3, 1931 in Lake Crystal. She was a homemaker and had worked for the Lake Crystal Health Care Center as a nurses aide. She was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Lake Crystal. She enjoyed sewing, church, traveling, playing cards, but most of all was her family.
Gladys is survived by three daughters, Bertha Larson-Kittleson of Mankato, Janice (Gene) Stevenson of La Mesa, CA, Mavis (Al) Ethans of Stanton, CA; three sons, Kermit (Beverly) Krueger of Stanton, CA, Richard (Pat) Krueger of Tehachapi, CA, Paul (Peg) Krueger of Brooklyn Park; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Martha Schulz of Alexandria, Gladys Lewis of Michigan; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, Dec.29, 1990, a sister and two brothers.
