Larry M Pearson

Larry Martin Pearson, age 56 of Mankato died August 10, 2008 at his home of natural causes.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.

Born in Danville, Illinois to Wilbur and Barbara Pearson on November 15, 1951. Larry spent most of his childhood in Marquette Michigan before moving to Minnesota to complete his education. Larry received his Bachelor's Degree from Marquette University, MI, and PhD earned from the University of Minnesota, having his statistical research published numerous times. After completing his degree, Larry taught at Marquette University, WI, and St. Mary's University in Winona. Larry has enjoyed teaching as a math professor at Minnesota State University, Mankato since 1984, including nine years as head of the math department.

Survived by two children, Karen (Mark) Wingard of Elk River, Julie (Nick) Zerwas of Elk River; two grandchildren, Ryan and Jason Wingard of Elk River; brother Donald Pearson of Ft. Myers FL, special friend Sharon Paul.

Larry was preceded in death by parents Wilbur and Barbara Pearson.
