Joan M Strusz

Joan M. Strusz, 79, of Lake Crystal, died Sunday, July 27, 2008 at the Lake Crystal Health Care Center.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2008 at the Lake Crystal Mortuary. Private family burial will be in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery, Mankato. Lake Crystal Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Joan was born November 29, 1928 to Guy J. and Gladys (Willsey) Zoch in Mankato. She was united in marriage to John B. "Bud" Strusz on September 1, 1963. Joan was a waitress for many years and had been employed by the Rainbow Caf" and Mandarin Caf". She was a member of the VFW 950 Auxilary.

Joan is survived by a step-daughter, Nancy (Jerry) Plakke of North Mankato; brother, Don W. Zoch of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Diane Spiess of St. Peter; step-grandson, Scott (Dori) Plakke of Cosmos; step greatgrandchilden; nieces, Memory (Stan) Stofferahn of Louisville, KY, Deborah (Craig) Koeningsfeld of Glendale, AZ; nephew, Jim Bjorklund of Louisville, KY and many other extended family and friends.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, in January 1975; her husband, Bud in June 1987; a brother-in-law, Gerald Spiess; and her loving dog, Buttons.
