Joeann Margaret Sieberg, age 74, of Lake Crystal, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester with family at her bedside.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2008 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lake Crystal, with Rev. John Wilmot officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Thursday at Lake Crystal Mortuary, with a 6:45 p.m. prayer service and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Memorials may be given to an organization of the donor's choice.

Joeann was born March 17, 1934 to Curt and Teresa (Wilmes) Lange in Lake Crystal. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1952. Joeann was united in marriage to Marvin Sieberg on September 25, 1954 in Lake Crystal. Marvin died on July 22, 1959 exactly 49 years prior to Joann. Joeann had been employed by Mankato Screw Products for 30 " years before retiring in 2004. Joeann was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the John Roth American Legion Auxiliary, and the Crystal-Loon Lake Recreation Club. She enjoyed working on the computer, crocheting, fishing, woodworking, watching TV Judge Shows, coffee and gossip at Sally's, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and her grand dog, Bailey.

Joeann is survived by her three children, Terese Sieberg, Mark Sieberg, and Judy (Mike) Hawker all of Lake Crystal; two grandchildren, Michael (Kristi) Hawker Jr. of Lake Crystal and Heidi Hawker (special friend, Dustin Williams) of Mankato; three sisters, Bonnie (John) Kissner of New Ulm, Freida (Jim) Deopere, Sandra (Gary) Thompson all of Lake Crystal; three sisters-in-law, Mary Ann (Tony) Oberle, Loretta Severns all of Mankato, and Ag Sieberg of Eagle Lake; two brothers-in-law, Ollie (Jeannie) Sieberg of Mankato and Earl Gens of St. Peter; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joeann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; two sisters, Curline (Phil) Pettersen and Rosemary (Bernard) Keech.
