David H Johansen

David Henry Johansen, age 66, of Mankato died on June 21, 2008 at his residence.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Mankato Mortuary, in Mankato followed by a graveside service in Albert Lea at Graceland Cemetery. Mankato Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.

David was born to Hank and June Johansen on July 9, 1941 in Albert Lea. David attended school in Albert Lea. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Bergman on October 22, 1977 in Rochester. David was employed as a construction worker. He enjoyed classic cars, playing bingo and working on cars.

David is survived by his wife: Carolyn Bergman of Mankato; three children: Randy Johansen; Terry Johansen of Albert Lea; Mary Johansen of Mankato; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother Donald "Red" (Marlene) Johansen of Albert Lea; also nieces and nephews; many other friends and family.

David was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Rita Johansen.
