James Paul Schmillen

James Paul Schmillen, age 59 of Mankato, died Monday, June 16, 2008 at Immanuel " St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 21, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church in Mankato with Rev. Dawn Carder officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Hope Cemetery in St. James. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church or the donor's choice. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

James was born November 10, 1948 to Paul C. and Ruth L. (Walters) Schmillen in St. James, Minnesota. He graduated from St. James High School in 1967. James worked at Kato Engineering in Mankato for over 40 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Mankato. James enjoyed Biking (TRAM, MS 150) Minnesota Twins baseball, and participating in ABC's Bowling for over 25 years.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth Schmillen of St. James; sister, Jane Schmillen of Minneapolis; niece, Dawn (Auggie) Moothedan of Lutz, FL; three great nephews; one great niece.
James was preceded in death by his father, Paul in 1976.
