Kenneth Edward Yaeger, age 93, of North Mankato, died Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Mankato with Rev. Jack Dahl officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation will be one hour before service on Wednesday at church. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Kenneth was born April 15, 1915 to Henry and Lena (Missling) Yaeger in Rapidan Township, Blue Earth County. He graduated from Mankato High School. He was united in marriage to Ruth T. Thom on November 13, 1941 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Nicollet. He farmed for several years and then worked as an accountant for Kayot, Mankato Corporation, and Lundin Construction Co. before retiring. Kenneth was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church where he was past president, secretary, and Superintendent of Sunday school, and a member of Lutheran Laymen League. He was also a member of the Exchange Club where he served as secretary and treasurer. Kenneth enjoyed traveling in their motor home, fishing, and photography.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Ruth of North Mankato; and many nieces and nephews.
Kenneth was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Schaub; and one brother, Walter Yaeger.
