Lorraine Sheryl (Allen) Becker, age 61, beloved mother, grandmother, and wife, passed away at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester on Sunday, November 7, 2004.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato with Pastor Wayne Eichstedt officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Lorraine was born on October 30, 1943 in Russell, Minnesota to Francis Eugene and Violet (Halstead) Allen. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1961. She married Dale Lester Becker on June 27, 1964 in Mankato. Together, they raised three children. Lorraine worked for many years as a school cook at Immanuel Lutheran School in Mankato, and later in life was employed by Chartwells at Minnesota State University in Mankato. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and was an avid camper with the Kato Wheels Good Sams Club, where she served as vice president. She loved everything Christmas, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Dale Becker of Mankato; three children, Laura Johnson, and husband, Corrie, Lisa Becker, Bryan Becker and his wife, Angie all of Mapleton; nine grandchildren, Jared Gilman and his special friend, Brittany Maurer, Zachary Pearson, Wyatt Johnson, Kayleigh, Brandon, and Weston Reemer, Ethan, Isaiah, and Caleb Becker; mother, Violet Allen of Lake Crystal; two brothers, Myrle Allen and his wife, JoAnn of Lake Crystal, Ralph Bud Allen and his wife, Rosie of Eagle Lake; a sister, Judy Rustman and her husband, Lester of Vernon Center; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.
