Mark Todd Kalis, age 41 of Mankato, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, September 29, 2004 in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 4, 2004 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato with Rev. Richard Colletti officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato. Visitation will be held from 2- 5 p.m., Sunday at Mankato Mortuary with a 4:00 p.m., prayer service. Visitation continues one hour before services at church on Monday. Memorials may be given to the donors choice.
Mark Todd Kalis was born August 6, 1963 to Carroll Marv and Helen (Reisenbigler) Kalis in Waseca, MN. He graduated from Mankato East High School in 1982 and later attended Technical College in North Mankato. Mark was employed in senior nutrition at Gus Johnson Plaza where he enjoyed the people he worked with. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. Mark was also a member of Catholic Order of Foresters and a snowmobile club. He enjoyed weight training, snowmobiling, walking, football, music and spending time with his cat, Morris and the other family pets.
Mark is survived by his mother, Helen Kalis; two sisters, Cindy Kalis and special friend, Doug Lueck, Stacy Kalis all of Mankato; grandmother, Florence Kalis of rural Waldorf; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Marv; grandparents, Marvin Kalis, Rachel and Lyle Reisenbigler.
