Delilah M. Anderson, age 71, of Mankato died on Friday, September 10, 2004 at Oaklawn Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be in Tivoli Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at Mankato Mortuary with one hour prior to services. Memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association or to an organization or the donors choice.
Delilah Mae Anderson was born on November 6, 1932 in Pipestone to Herman and Marian (Johnson) Mohlmann. She grew up in Pipestone until she married Darwin Dick Anderson on August 6, 1950. They moved to Mankato in 1961. Delilah was primarily a homemaker but also worked at the Mankato House. She was active in Home Extension and 4-H activities. She enjoyed camping at Lake Ballantyne for many years, as well as knitting, crocheting, and word puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, Darwin of Mankato; seven children, Debra Anderson of Waterville, Richard Anderson of Mankato, Diane and her husband, Steve Riese of Eagle Lake, Kim and her husband, Steve Shamp of Mankato, Sue Weston of Mankato, David Anderson and Jeannie Vottler of Eagle Lake, James Anderson and his wife, Jerrie of Waseca; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry L. Allen of Mankato; sister-in-law, Darlene Anderson of Pipestone; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
