Junetta June Miner, age 90, of Mankato, died Friday, May 12, 2006 at Immanuel St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.

There will be a 9:30 a.m. graveside service on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 for family and friends at Lake Crystal Cemetery. Visitation will follow at Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal, where an 11:00 a.m. memorial service will be held. Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal, the American Heart Association, or to an organization of the donor's choice.

Lake Crystal Mortuary is handling arrangements.

June was born on June 8, 1915 in Belgrade Township in Nicollet County. She was the daughter of H.A. and Etta (Coughenour) Hanson. June attended country school and graduated from Mankato High School in 1933. She was united in marriage to Earl K. Miner on October 30, 1934 in Belgrade Township. They farmed for two years in the Mankato area before moving to Lake Crystal, where they farmed for many years. June was a homemaker for her family. In 1999, June and Earl moved to Primrose in Mankato.

June was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she had served as Sunday school teacher, secretary of church council, and been active in the Sarah Circle and the quilting group. She served as chairman of the Lake Crystal PTA and Band Boosters and had been involved in Extension Club, Garden Club, and Lake Crystal Senior Citizens. June enjoyed traveling with her husband, gardening and quilting.

June is survived by her son, James (Jean) Miner of Rochester; two grandchildren, Jodi (Ray) Yates of Rochester and Kim Miner of Rochester; three great-grandchildren, Nicole, Danielle, and Brandon; sister-in-law, Lorna Hanson of Mankato; and many nieces and nephews.

June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl in 2002; son, Glenn in 1943; three brothers and four sisters.
