Thomas W Nelson

Thomas William Nelson, age 54 of rural Mankato died Friday, April 28, 2006 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 1, 2006 at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2006 at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the ISJ Hospice Program.

Thomas William Nelson was born August 1, 1951 in Mankato to Nels and Lora (Hinniker) Nelson. He was a 1969 graduate of Rapidan High School. Tom was a commodity trader/tracker and lived on his family farm in Southbend Township. He enjoyed the outdoors, doing yardwork, and deer, pheasant, and turkey hunting. He was musically talented, playing piano and guitar.

Survivors include his brother, John (Beverly) Todd of Mankato; sister, Nancy Childress; uncle, Allen Nelson of Mankato; many nieces and nephews; and close friends, Ron and Denise Statham of Mankato. He was preceded in death by his parents.
