Dale L. Moore, age 88, of Mankato, died Friday, September 3, 2004 at Mankato House Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at Mankato Mortuary, with Rev. Albert H. Thompson III officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary and continues one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Memorials may be given to Disabled American Veterans or Realife Cooperative of Mankato.
Dale was born on July 10, 1916 in Red Lake Falls. He was the son of George and Alphonsine (Chartir) Moore. Dale served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946. He later worked for Northern States Power in Minneapolis and the Public Water Works in Portland, OR. Dale was united in marriage to Vera Hodges on July 24, 1999 in Mankato. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and VFW. Dale enjoyed music and playing the fiddle, politics, and keeping up with the daily news and current events.
Dale is survived by his wife, Vera Moore of Mankato; seven nieces and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lillian; two brothers, Clarence and Henry; two step-sisters and four step-brothers.
