Joyce Marion Mundahl, age 75, of North Mankato, died Monday, August 30, 2004 at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Charles Vannieuwenhoven officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before services at the church on Thursday. Memorials are preferred to ISJ Hospice Program or St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund.
Joyce was born January 11, 1929 in Miller, South Dakota to Lloyd and Edith (Tranter) Jones. She married Palmer Mundahl on March 15, 1947 in Tyler, Minnesota and later made their home in North Mankato. Joyce was a member of St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she served in various capacities. She enjoyed playing bridge and golf, traveling, watching various sporting events and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her five sons, Daniel of Mankato, Brian (Kathy) of Bloomington, Robert (Margaret) of Hillsboro, MO, Gary (June) of Chaska, Larry (Janet) of Spokane, WA; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis (Dominic) Ewing of Spokane, WA, and Avis Hardie of Clear Lake, SD; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer, one grandson, and one sister.
