Clayton Eugene Krise Jr. age 85, of Mankato, died Monday, August 23, 2004 at Woodbury Health Care Center in Woodbury.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Keith Siverly officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be held from 5 " 8 p.m., Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before services at the church on Thursday. Memorials may be given to St. Mark Ev. Lutheran Church or the donors choice.

Clayton E. Krise Jr. was born June 2, 1919 to Clayton and Martha (Garmeister) Krise in George, Iowa. He graduated in 1936 from Lake Crystal High School . He was united in marriage to June Haslip on March 1, 1942 in Mankato. Clayton served his country as a pilot in the Army Air Force during World War II in China and India from 1942 " 1946. He owned and operated Krise Oil Company and the Skyview Cafe. Clayton was a member of St. Mark Ev. Lutheran Church and a former member of VFW 950 of Mankato. He enjoyed playing competitive ping pong during his time in the service and enjoyed baseball, football, and dancing. Clayton ran the Rec. Programs in Mankato and Fairmont is his earlier years.

He is survived by his wife, June of Mankato; one daughter, Vicki Warner; two grandchildren, Ryan (Tracy) Warner, Marlee June Warner all of Woodbury; one brother, Edward Krise of Denver; nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Marsha Paulson (Jorgenson), brother, Glen.
