Katherine Ullrich, age 82, of North Mankato died Friday, August 20, 2004 at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital surrounded by her family.
Mass of Christian Burial 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 23, 2004 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Mankato, with Rev. John Wilmot officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before services at church on Monday. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Immanuel-St. Josephs Foundation Garden Project.
Katherine was born February 27, 1922 to Henry and Hazel (Iverson) Harris in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Inwood High School, Inwood, Iowa in 1940. On June 16, 1945 she was united in marriage to John Ullrich Sr. in Des Moines, Iowa. John died May 12, 2002. They lived in Grand Forks, North Dakota prior to moving to North Mankato in 1965.
Katherine managed the Bachmans European Flower Market at Madsens in Madison East Center for over 12 years. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, reading, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include, six daughters, Mary (Dan) Robinson of Mankato, Janice Ullrich of Faribault, Margaret Thomassen of Petersburg, Alaska, Monica Post of Hopkins, Patrice (Gene) Lindstrom of Princeton, Veronica (Mark) Sierakowski of Minneapolis; three sons, John Ullrich Jr. of Mankato, Tom Ullrich of Mankato, Joe (Cindy) Ullrich of Apple Valley; nine grandchildren, Patrick (Bianca) Robinson of Mankato, Peter Robinson of Minneapolis, Tiffany (Anthony) Borges of Anchorage, Alaska, Troy Rogers of Petersburg, Alaska, Luke and Katie Ullrich of Mankato, Alex Post of Hopkins, Monica (Shane) Johnson of Albany, Elizabeth Lindstrom of Mankato; sister, Mary Daniels of Estacada, Oregon; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Buenz of San Jose, CA and Verna Kelm of Palo Alto, CA; cousin, Dayton Sneve of Sioux Falls, SD; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
