Edna L. Wolfe, age 94 of Mankato, died Thursday, August 19, 2004 at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 23, 2004 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato, with Father Karl Voelker S.J. officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary, with a Prayer Service at 4:00 p.m. Visitation continues on Monday one hour before services at the church.

Edna was born September 14, 1909 in Lime Township, Blue Earth County, to Charles and Anna (Hartung) Guentzel. She was united in marriage to Sylvester Baynes on February 18, 1930. They farmed in Jamestown Township near Madison Lake, until Sylvesters death on December 7, 1950. She later married Theodore G. Wolfe on May 26, 1953, and they farmed in Lime Township north of Mankato. Edna and Theodore moved into Mankato in June of 1985. Following Theodores death on December 27, 1991, Edna lived in her own home until moving into assisted living on August 1, 2003, and then to the Mankato Lutheran Home on February 27, 2004. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing cards, and getting together with family. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters, the Lime Township Extension Ladies Group, and the Mankato Moose Lodge.

Edna is survived by her two sons, Charles Baynes of Mankato, Tony Baynes and his wife, Liz, of Minneapolis; one daughter, Rosemary Mock and her husband, Marv, of Mankato; four step daughters and their husbands, Lucille and Wally Lang of New Ulm, Marilou and Victor Hofmeister of Mankato, Dottie and Al Beckwith of Mankato, Bonnie and Luverne Jack Friedrichs of Mankato; one step son, Ted H. Wolfe and his wife, Rita, of Mankato; seven grandchildren; 22 step grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; 34 step great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; three step great-great-grandsons; two nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands and three sisters.
