Lucille Kohler, age 88 of Mankato, died Monday, August 9, 2004 at the St. Peter Health Care Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2004 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Karl Voelker officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Mankato Mortuary with a 5 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Memorials are preferred to the Jesuit Partnership.
Lucille was born June 9, 1916 in Mankato to Paul and Mary (Heidwinkel) Kohler. She attended Loyola High School and later worked for Stan A. Smith Jewelry for over 10 years. Lucille lived with her parents and cared for them until their deaths. She continued to maintain their home until her move to Sunrise Cottage. She later moved to Oak Terrace and was recently living at St. Peter Health Care Center. Lucille was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, where she had been active with St. Elizabeths Circle. She enjoyed baking, playing cards, Bingo, needlepoint and other crafts. She was meticulous with her yard work and enjoyed floral gardening.
Survivors include her nephew, Bob Hodapp of Owatonna and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Leone and Robert Hodapp.
