Norma S Yushta

Norma S. Yushta, age 79, of St. Peter, died Sunday, July 25, 2004 at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital, Mankato.

Private family services were held. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Norma was born December 22, 1924 in Dupo, St. Clair County, IL to Jacob D. and Emma Marie (Loewe) Schellhardt. After 11 years of education in Dupo, she attended Southern Illinois University for a year, before entering St. Lukes School of Nursing in St. Louis, MO. She was a R.N. doing work in Missouri, Alabama, Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota and retired in 1977, after serving 4 years as a nursing home administrator.

She was united in marriage to John H. Yushta on July 5, 1956 in Breese, IL. She enjoyed needle point, quilt making, and especially reading.

She is survived by her husband, John H. Yushta of St. Peter; five sons, James K. Crake of Dupo, IL, Jeffrey H. Yushta and wife, Sharon, of La Crosse, WI, Jerold W. Yushta of St. Peter, John G. Yushta and wife, Lisa of Lemmon, SD, and Joel D. Yushta of FL; 10 grandchildren, Stacy Bendal and Andy Yushta of La Crosse, WI, Kelly Maguigad of Madison, WI, Jean Attenberger, Jacob Yushta and Danielle Wilking of St. Peter, Chris, Daniel, Michael, and Brianna Yushta of Lemmon, SD; six great-grandchildren, Trisha Bennet, Patrick Yushta, Nathan Attenberger of St. Peter, Adam and Samuel Bendal of La Crosse, WI, Caleb Maguigad of Madison, WI; a sister, June Fluchel and husband, Richard of Dupo, IL; four nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
