Beulah B. Brown, age 92, of North Mankato and formerly of Hampton, IA died Thursday, July 22, 2004 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Spring Valley, MN, with Father Steven Peterson officiating. Interment in Grand Meadow Cemetery, Grand Meadow, MN. Visitation one hour before services at the church on Tuesday. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Beulah was born October 20, 1911 in Fillmore County, MN to Roy E. and Jessie A. (Grabau) Gallagher. She graduated from Spring Valley High School. She taught country school prior to her marriage to William R. Brown on June 29, 1935 in Spring Valley, MN. William died in 1978. She lived in Hampton, IA from 1938 until moving to North Mankato in 1980. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, North Mankato and a former member of St. Patricks Catholic Church, Hampton. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading.
Beulah is survived by two sons and their spouses, Jack (Rosemarie) Brown of Santa Ana, CA, Robert Bob (Susan) Brown of Mankato; four grandchildren and their spouses, Patrick (Marcia) Brown of Mission Viejo, CA, James (Sara) Brown of Woodbury, Michael Brown and Tammy Springsteen of Berkeley, CA, Sally (Michael) Olander of Burnsville; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lucille (Ross) Rathbun of Spring Valley, Marilynn Podruch of Minnetonka, Patricia Goeman of Hopkins; nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters.
