Leo Trudeau
North Mankato, MN " Leo Trudeau age 76 of North Mankato, died at his home on Saturday morning, July 17, 2004.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lake Crystal with Rev. John Wilmot officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Memorials are preferred to an organization of the donors choice.
Leo Alton Trudeau was born September 6, 1927 in Amiret, Minnesota to Zephyr and Daisy (Nelson) Trudeau. On October 28, 1946, he was united in marriage to Frances Cecil Kelley in Marshall, Minnesota. Leo, an operating engineer, had been employed with Guaranteed Sand and Gravel for 42 years. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and was involved with the Holy Family Mens Club. Leo also was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers local # 49.
Leo was involved with the Lake Crystal Choralaires for 29 years, and participated with the Four Sharps Barbershop Quartet and Mankato Mens Christmas Choir. He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry. He also enjoyed the Minnesota Twins, Vikings, and Timberwolves.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Trudeau of North Mankato; six children, Cheryl (Melvin) Pettersen of Lake Crystal, Terry Trudeau of Mankato, Susan Jones of Apple Valley, Julie Jones of North Mankato, Carmen Oeffler of North Mankato, Kelly (Vicki) Trudeau of North Mankato; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Clayton (Betty) Trudeau of Springfield; sister, Mary Jo (Terry) Crist of Richardson, TX; sisters-in-law, Jackie Michel of North Mankato, Joyce Kelley of Madison Lake; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law.
