Vera K TRUE

Vera K. True, age 92 of Mankato, died Sunday, July 11, 2004 evening at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at First Congregational UCC of Mankato with Rev. Albert Thompson III officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour before services at the church on Tuesday. Memorials may be given to the donors choice. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Vera True was born September 16, 1911 to Sigel and Bertha (Knoss) Sorenson in Mankato. She graduated from Rapidan High School. Vera was united marriage to Harold H. True on September 30, 1931 in Mankato. They lived on a farm in the Mankato area. She was a member of First Congregational UCC of Mankato and the Sunshine Club. Vera enjoyed her flower and vegetable garden. She also enjoyed sewing for her family and herself.

She is survived by three children, Barbara A. Reed of Columbus, OH, Virginia (Jerry) Wittrock of rural Mankato, James (Rhana) True of Norman, OK; nine grandchildren, Eugene Reed, David (Kathy) Reed, Marie Caudill, Mark Reed, Darlene Denn, Susan Wittrock, Judson True, Randy True, and Elizabeth True; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her husband, son-in-law, Marvin Reed; two sisters, Lydia Anderson, and Esther Brown.
