Dennis L Peterson

Dennis L. Peterson, age 73 of Mankato, died Tuesday, July 6, 2004 of cancer at Immanuel " St. Josephs Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday at Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Joel B. Erickson officiating. Burial with military honors in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Mankato Mortuary from 4 " 7 p.m., Thursday and one hour before services at the church on Friday.

Dennis L. Peterson was born October 25, 1930 to Loren and Erna (Fredricks) Peterson in Mankato. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1949 and Mankato State with Bachelor of Science degree in 1958. He served his country in the National Guard and was called to active duty during the Korean Conflict. Dennis was employed by Mankato State University for 13 years in the maintenance department and 18 years with Midwest Coaches. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #11, VFW Morson Ario Post # 9713, Eagles Club, and Moose Club all of Mankato.

He is survived by Barbara Ellis of Mankato; brother, Terry (Pam) Ness of North Mankato and two nephews and a great nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, several aunts, and uncles.
