Dorothy M Anderson

Dorothy M. Anderson, age 83 of rural Good Thunder died Monday, July 5, 2004 at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital, Mankato.

Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mankato Mortuary, with Rev. Dean Wolf officiating. Burial will be in Holberg Cemetery, rural Rapidan. Visitation will be held from 6 " 8 p.m. Thursday at Mankato Mortuary and continue one hour before services at the Mankato Mortuary on Friday.

Dorothy was born January 21, 1921 in Mankato to Edward and Marie (Clark) Sweet. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1939 and attended the Johnson Beauty School in Mankato. Dorothy was united in marriage to Edwin Anderson on September 2, 1950 in Le Sueur. He died November 17, 1988. They lived in the Good Thunder area and lived 14 years in Deerwood, Minnesota where she owned and operated Dorothys Beauty Shop. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, flowers and spending time with family.

She is survived by three sons, Jerry (Peggy) Anderson of Vernon Center, Larry (Koreen) Anderson of rural Good Thunder, Dan (Julie) Anderson of Elko; two daughters, Bonnie (Tom) Linton of Burtonville, MD, Barbara (Sam) Spencer of Harris N.C.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Don (Phyllis) Sweet of Mankato; nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister.
