Paul M. Higginbotham, age 44, of Mankato, died Sunday, July 4, 2004 at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church in Mankato with Rev. Dawn Carder and Rev. Paul Collier officiating. Burial will be later in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday (TODAY) at Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Harry Meyering Center or MRCI.
Paul was born January 8, 1960 in Denver, Colorado to Jack D. and Shirley (Halbe) Higginbotham. He moved to Minnesota with his family in the early 1970s. He has been with the Harry Meyering Center Supervised Living Services. He enjoyed going for boat and airplane rides, shopping, and amusement parks, especially Valleyfair. He collected small airplanes and boats.
Survivors include his parents, Jack and Shirley Higginbotham of Mankato; two siblings, Jack Douglas Higginbotham II and wife, Kim of Seattle, WA, Sue Eide and husband, Dale of Owatonna, MN; five nieces, Callie, Abby and Britta Higginbotham, Karen and Lisa Eide; three uncles and their wives, Jim and Bonnie Higginbotham of Fort Scott, KS, Tom and Carol Higginbotham of Iola, KS, Douglas and Norine Halbe of Salt Lake City, UT.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, an aunt, and an infant nephew.
