Jeffrey Thomas Flynn, 31, of Mankato, passed away early Sunday morning, December 30th, 2012, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems - Mankato, after a long year of several hospitalizations due to blood infections.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2013, at First Congregational U.C.C. in Mankato. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service at the church. Mankato Mortuary handled the arrangements.

Jeff, aka "Redneck", was born on July 18, 1981, in Mankato to Susan Wittrock and Joseph Flynn.Jeff was raised in Lake Crystal and attended school at Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial.He acheived his GED in 2006. He attended South Central Technical College, for mechanics, until he had to pause his education due to medical reasons.

On his 22nd birthday, Jeff was the passenger in a truck rollover that left him paralyzed. However, Jeff had a passion for life and did not let his physical limitations hinder him from enjoying every second and no sign of pity seeking or sadness was ever in his voice. He was the type of person who would do anything he could to help out someone in need. He had many quailties that made him one of the kindest, sweetest, and most comforting person you could ever meet.

He loved to ride his ATV and hill climb, to go down-hill adaptive skiing, jet skiing, and enjoying a day out on the lake fishing. His family and friends were his main focus in life.

Jeff is survived by his mother, Susan Wittrock of Mankato,MN and father, Joseph Flynn, of Lonsdale, MN. His brothers Gerald Flynn of Mankato, James (Jacque) Flynn of Fertile, and sisters, Joanna (Owen) Lathrop of Mankato, Julia Flynn of Mankato, Makayla Flynn of Mankato. His nephews Alex Flynn, Eric Flynn, and JT Flynn. Nieces Dallas Mell, Jenna Flynn, and Jadyn Flynn. His grandparents Gerald and Virginia Wittrock of Mankato, Betty (Richard) Jeno of Lonsdale, and several Aunts and Uncles, and his significant other, Ciara Jessen.
