Kathleen "Kathi" Anne Cliff, age 64 of Mankato, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato with Rev. John Kunz officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 " 8 p.m., with an 8:00 p.m. prayer service Monday, October 22, 2012 at NORTHVIEW " North Mankato Mortuary in North Mankato. Private family burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Mankato.

Kathi was born on December 10, 1947 in San Francisco, California to Urban and Ruth Kraker. She graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1966. She then attended the University of Minnesota and finished her college career at the College of St. Benedict in 1970 receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree. She began her teaching career at Westwood Elementary in Prior Lake, MN for six years. Kathi married George Cliff on May 22, 1976 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur, MN. After her marriage to George and moving to Mankato, Kathi continued her career at Mankato Area Catholic Schools. She taught kindergarten at Loyola Catholic School until her medical leave in May 2011.

Kathi was passionate about her teaching, but had a special passion for golf, as a member of the Mankato Golf Club with her husband George. She also enjoyed writing, knitting, cooking, and spoiling her grandson, Colsen. Kathi's dogs, Christa and Pepper were her favorite family pets. She was a member of the Mankato Golf Club, the Minnesota Kindergarten Association, and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Kathi is survived by her husband, George, sons, Brian Cliff and Robert (Annette) Cliff; grandson, Colsen; mother, Ruth Kraker; brothers, Michael (Mary) Kraker and David (Pam) Kraker; sister, Lynn (Mike) Callahan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Urban Kraker.

The family prefers memorial donations to I Think I Can Kathi Cliff (Kindergarten Scholarship), St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, or Palliative Care-Mayo Health System.
