Hildegard (Drummer) Denn, age 94 of St. Clair, died Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living Center in North Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 8, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Clair with Rev. Robert Schneider and Rev. Russ Scepaniak officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 " 7 p.m., Sunday at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato and will continue one hour before the service at the church on Monday. .

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to MRCI or the donor's choice.

Hildegard (Drummer) Denn was born July 8, 1918 to Joseph and Mary (Tacheny) Drummer in Blue Earth County. She married Bert Denn on October 17, 1939 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. They farmed all their life in Decoria Township, Blue Earth County, near St. Clair. They moved from the farm to St. Clair in 1979, after they retired from farming.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she volunteered as a porter and sacristan at the church until she was 85. When Mary Ellen took sick, Hildegard went to the nursing home daily to be with Mary Ellen.

Hildegard was a member of Catholic Aid, "You Need A Rest" (neighbors), babysat Fred and Melinda's Rollings children afterschool and preschool children in the mornings, played cards with the St. Clair ladies at the fire hall twice a month. She also enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren.

Hildegard is survived by three daughters, Donna Veroeven and husband, Ray of Mankato, Vera Serfling and husband, Jerry of Stillwater, Rita Loeffler of St. Clair; son, Cy Denn of Mankato; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; five sisters, Marion Johnson, Rosella "Sally" Hawker, Delores Rykhus, Geraldine Decker, Betty (Bob) Quinn; sisters-in-law, LaVaugh Drummer and Dorothy Drummer; brother, Harry (LuAnn) Drummer; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert; son, Edward; daughter, Mary Ellen; brother, Ray Drummer; sister, Olivia Heminover and husband, Larry; brother, John Drummer; brothers-in-law, Harold Hawker, John Rykhus, Wally Decker, and Stan Johnson.

Thanks to Oak Terrace and everyone who assisted our mom, by giving of their time, rides, or an ever so appreciated phone call. She'll be greatly missed.
