Norman Frederick Witte, age 91, died Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living after living a long and full life.
The memorial service will be held Saturday October 6 at 2 o'clock pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 420 Marie Lane, North Mankato. Brian Merkling of New Ulm officiating. Mankato Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Norman was born August 14, 1921 in Hector MN. He was the son of Alfred and Francis Witte. Norman grew up in and lived most of his life in central Minnesota. Norman loved his family and friends. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and playing cards with his friends. He was a devoted and active member of the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for fifty-four years.
Norman is survived by his four children, Charles Witte, of St. Paul, Susan (Darrell) McKee of Wickenburg, AZ, Gaylene (Nathan) Bissonette of St. Paul, Dohn (Becky) Witte of Mankato; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, and brothers Alden Witte of St. Peter, MN and Mern Witte of Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his longtime friend and wife, Mildred Evelyn Witte.
