Duane Martin Cox, age 74, died Monday, October 1, 2012 at his home.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Hilltop United Methodist Church, Mankato with Rev. Fred Vanderwerf, officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 " 11:00 a.m., Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Eagle Lake Cemetery. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Duane was born October 19, 1937 to Gerald and Edna A. (Taron) Cox in Morgan, MN. He graduated from Morgan High School in 1955 and later Mankato Commercial College. Duane was united in marriage to Beverly Northamer on May 24, 1969 at Centenary United Methodist Church, Mankato. He was office manager of Marigold Dairies, office manager for Cuddy Mechanical Contractors, and retired from Thorset Sheet Metal as an accountant. Duane was past president of the Exchange Club from 1969-70, a Cubmaster of Pack 95 at Kennedy School, and a member of the Mankato Rose Society. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, tennis, going up north for family vacations, western and history movies.

Duane is survived by his wife, Beverly; son, Paul (Cindy) Cox of Rochester; daughter, Susan Larson of Mankato; three precious grandchildren, Jack, Olivia, and Ella; his dogs, Molly, Ty, and BeckySu.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents.
