Sylvia Mae Rindelaub, age 87, of Mankato, died Friday, June 25, 2004 at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.
Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at First Christian Church in Mankato, with Rev. Paul Ficzeri officiating. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary and also one hour before services at church on Wednesday. Memorials may be given to First Christian Church or Glenwood Cemetery.
Sylvia was born August 4, 1916 in Mankato to John and Viola (Gaertner) Kawczynski. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1935. She was united in marriage to Henry C. Rindelaub on September 24, 1939 in Mankato. She helped her husband for many years at the Mankato Bread Company. She was a member of First Christian Church, Women of the Moose, Ladies of the Elks, Y.W.C.A. Antique Club, Red Hat Society, Summit Center, Katoland Connection, and Terrace View Ladies Golf Club. She enjoyed playing bridge. She prided herself as being known as the Cookie Lady .
Sylvia is survived by a sister and her husband, Geralene and James Osborne of Lake Crystal; a brother and his wife, James and Dolly Kawczynski of Minneapolis; two nieces and two nephews; 4 great nieces; a great nephew; a great great nephew and a great great niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry in 1990; and a daughter, Jill in 1983.
