Carol Beep Meyer, age 56, died Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at her Mankato residence.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Mary Iverson officiating. Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Elysian. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
Carol Jean Meyer was born April 4, 1948 in Faribault to Raymond and Gloria (Burnett) Meyer. She attended school at Waterville/Elysian and graduated in 1966. She was employed at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato and the Blue Earth County Jail.
Softball was the love of her life and for the past 30 years, she ran numerous tournaments. She was the manger of Hubs Softball team for 28 years, served as Vice-President of the Mankato Players Association, and was inducted to both the Mankato and Minnesota Softball Halls of Fame.
She is survived by her mother, Gloria Meyer of Elysian; two brothers, Gary Meyer of Elysian, Rod Meyer and his wife, Shelly of Waseca; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond and a sister, Jean.
