Betty Jane (Cline) Grassit, age 84 of Mankato, died Monday, December 22, 2003 at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to CADA (Committee Against Domestic Abuse) 100 Stadium Court, Mankato, MN 56001. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.
Betty was born on March 15, 1919 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Earl Michael and Esther Lydia (Robinson) Cline. She married Earl Grassit on March 10, 1944 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Betty and Earl were the owners of the Historic Station House, which specialized in antiques and collectibles, in Madison Lake for ten years. Betty enjoyed being a homemaker, was an accomplished seamstress and was an avid bridge player. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Ann Albertson and her husband, Dean of Zumbro Falls, MN; two granddaughters, Jennifer Bierbaum and Molly Kerr and her husband, Daniel, all of Minneapolis; two brothers and their wives, Dean and Vi Cline of Cedar Rapids, IA, Rex and Lois Cline of Iowa City, IA; one niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl in 1990.
