Delores Mae Wendt, age 86, of Amboy, died Thursday February 10, 2011 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Vernon Center. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lake Crystal Mortuary on Monday and continue one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be in Vernon Center Cemetery.

Delores was born February 1, 1925 to Edward and Emma (Flager) Weise in Mankato, MN. She graduated from New Ulm High School. Delores was united in marriage to Marlyn Wendt at Grace Lutheran church in Mankato on August 18, 1956. She was a homemaker for all of her married life and was an active member of the ladies aide. Delores enjoyed knitting, gardening and flowers.

Delores is survived by her husband, Marlyn Wendt of Amboy; children, Cheryl (Marcus) Hagen of North Branch; Allen (Colleen) Wendt of Amboy; Wayne (France) Wendt of Amboy; five grandchildren, Megan, Devin, Haylee, Tyler, Dillon; and brother, Charles Weise.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Emma and her step-mother, Judith Weise.
