Dick Schoeb, age 75, died unexpectedly at his Madison Lake home on Monday morning, February 7, 2011.

A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Wednesday at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake with Rev. Robert Schneider officiating. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. at the church on Wednesday. There will be additional time to visit with the family following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be designated to an organization of the donor's choice.

Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Richard Mark Schoeb was born April 9, 1935 in Mankato to Mark and Alice (Krueger) Schoeb. After graduating from high school he entered the US Army. He was honorably discharged in 1957. On April 25, 1959 he was united in marriage to Rose Anne Kortuem at Marysburg. Dick was employed for numerous area businesses as a salesman. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, was an avid sports fan, and devoted time and energy perfecting his lifelong fishing passion.

Dick will be sadly missed by his wife, Rose Anne; five children, Rick Schoeb of Madison Lake, Mark Schoeb of Madison Lake, Steve Schoeb and his wife, Polly of North Mankato, Mike Schoeb and his wife, Wendi of Amboy, Lori Gregor and her husband, Tony of Mapleton; grandchildren, Regan and Nick Schoeb, Kate and Sophie Schoeb and Dalton Doering, Anne, Alice, and Mary Gregor; brother, Jim Schoeb and his wife, Brenda of Eagle Lake; brother-in-law, Ted Nastoff of Mesa, AZ; nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sally Nastoff, and an infant twin brother at birth.
